Looking cool. Your model doesn't seem as 'long' feeling as the concept. I wonder if lengthening the torso and maybe slimming the upper arms a little would help get that feeling. Look forward to seeing more! Although I've been seeing it on Twitter too
Awesome work! The legs are a bit stubby in the concept but i think your proportions fit a lot better the overall shape and silhouette of the character. Can't wait to see more!
Almost wanna call this high poly done, might do some last minute edits to add more detail later on. This first pic is of his whip's handle since I can't have him without it, whip part simply just an extended cylinder so nothing really to show there.
The straps for me i think should be a touch Thicker, usually people wanting to make "stylized" stuff hesitate to make things thicker but that is what makes most designs read correctly as stylized.(for me) When i put both concept and model side by side the lower shin guard straps seem thinner comparably to the concept and i like how in the concept they cover more area under the knee, specifically that one nearest the gold guard. Does the model have some mouth action, i think it adds a lot to the character. If i had to nitpick more i'd say the neck might do with some more detailing and if you could manage it, taper off the straps at the upper chest to resemble the concept more the inner straps have a different appearance.
got way ahead of myself since last update, got all the topo done, uvs, and bakes so now I'm entering the substance zone. just laying out some base materials and skin tones.
