Advice and critique would be great to receive in means of anatomy and if it looks like the original concept. As reference I have used snapping turtle, english bulldog and common toad (especially the legs are supposed to be very much like snapping turtles, although I have used a more "normal" mammalian like skeletal structure). The mushroom is Caloscypha fulgens. Also if anyone knows any good recourses for understanding how fat and skinfolds work, pls send them here, Im in dire need of ones.
And one more question, would it actually be better to sculpt the feet pointing down so if this was used for something (im thinking animation) they would have more moving space, if that makes even any sense?

For the feet, let them in this position. for example a human character has also a grounded pose you you don't have to straighten this shapes.
I would pick elephant skin as my references for thick wrinkly skin. I think that would work really good.
