Does anyone know how to fix Arnold rendering Error Gpu: Insufficient device memory? Everything used to work fine for me, and now all of a sudden, doing nothing different, Arnold doesn't allow me to render with GPU. Only with CPU.
I found the pre-populating option in Arnold. And I do prepopulate but the problem still there. I noticed that if I open a new project the GPU rendering would work fine, but in this one where I am making my face it would never work. I did also delete the cache files before doing the prepopulation. What if this GPU prepoluation for? there is no information on google about it whatsoever. Frustrating.
I am not in the latest Arnold because I wanted to have a stable Maya, 2018.6. the only Arnold version with GPU rendering that works with it is the 6.0.2.0. I do have hairs and Displacements and 3 more maps etc.. What would you suggest I can do? I probably give up and just use CPU rendering, but the problem is that my CPU is burning and sometimes crashing my computer. Thank you very much, mate.
Thank you for your help. The displacements option didn't work. I guess if no one offers a solution in the entire web is because there is not a solution but updating your graphic card for a gtr 2080Ti. .. Or possibly updating Maya 2020.1 with the latest Arnold.

I am trying all of this now and will report if it works any of these.
Did you find a solution? Or only give up and use CPU?
