Humblebee08 polycounter lvl 5
Hi everyone!

I'm in the process of texturing this project and I'm looking for a critique. Some materials are placeholder at the moment (the engine material). Please let me know if you see any glaring issues! Or even just suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

I think your at a pretty solid start but comparing your model to the reference image I feel your skipping on some of the details that make the original design interesting. This is all the heavy machinery buts around the wings and even some of the depth of how different panels come together to create more interesting shapes. Im thinking specifically of the panel next to the cockpit. You have a pretty simple tube but the reference implies a much more complicated shape. Personally I think your piece will be much stronger by including those additions.

    Really nice work!
But the edge wear and grundge is a bit large, makes it look like a toy...
Also the lighting doesnt do it justice, maybe use an outdoor hdri. Or an indoor hdri with few lights.

Yeah I see what you're saying. As I've gotten deeper into this project I've realized overly simplified some of the shapes and changed up the proportions a bit. This is the first time I've worked from such a loose concept. It's definitely been a learning experience. I appreciate the feedback.
