What was supposed to be a quick few days sculpt drew out for a few months and became this.
I need a better solution for topology, since Maya is wayyy too slow for anything serious. I would love to use Topogun since I've used it at a past job, but don't want to shell out $100 if Topogun 3 comes out soon. Would love if people has suggestions. ZBrush retopo is painful for anything more complex than super simple forms, and for the price of a decent Blender retopo add-on I may as well just get Topogun.
Anyhow, I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this, and any advice.

Oh yeah I know the struggle about retopo ... I'm using 3d coat for almost 2012 and I'm still happy with the tool. But after the new Blender release magic I want to give retopoflow also a try ^^
Same as Crazy_pixel, I use 3D Coat for retopo. It took me a few months to get used to the interface and shortcuts but I really like using it for retopo now, better than Maya in my opinion.
