Hey guys, I am attempting to make the texture for the red and dark red tread but am having some difficulties about ways to go about it. Would any anyone happen to know the best way to approach this?
Looks like a repeating pattern to me, with an offset for each red bar.

I would break it down into parts. First I would create a single diagonal bar as a mesh, and add the metal caps on each end. Then duplicate it along the tread. Then create a tiling texture of the red pattern, dark red "S" shapes on a light red background. Then I would UV the diagonals with a small UV square so the "S" pattern would tile across them.
It's a really simple pattern. Just drop some dark red dots on a red background. Tile it. Create a new material for the diagonal-bar meshes, and UV your tiling red texture so it repeats a lot.
