Hello. I'm still somewhat of a beginner with sculpting. I was wondering what the best approach to a sculpt is when crating clothes or armor? The way I approached this was duplicating the base model and working on the copy. I sculpted on the base body layer. Was this a wise choice or should I have made the separate pieces onto different layers? Does it really even matter since during the retopo the pieces could be made separate?

Thank you for the reply. Subtool. I imagine that's a Zbrush method. I'll have to figure out something similar that works in 3D-Coat. Would you recommend any Anatomy Tutorials?
