3DS Max equivalent of Houdini Polywire or Blender Wireframe Modifier

Hi guys,
i'm trying to create from a mesh a reticular structure using the edges as guide in 3ds max, i've first tried with the Lattice modifier of 3ds max but it lack of a proper connection on the vertices it simple create a cylinder shape along the edge but it do not create a connection where two or more edges met (on the vertices) here is the lattice modifier for reference

Note how there is no connection on the vertices what i'm trying to achieve is more like the the Polywire node of Houdini (reference) or the wireframe modifier of Blender (reference), so my question is basically there is way to achieve the same effect (with a proper connection on vertices) on 3Ds max?

And here is my attempt on making the same effect on max (notice how the shell modifier broke everything)
