Hello, im trying to create a scene where a boat travels across water using 3DS Max flex modifier.
I have managed to get everything to look the way i like and i started to render, after it was done i notice that the Water pulsates and creates more waves after the boat has passed which i do not want. as you can see on the gif below, it pulsates 7 aditional times.

I have no idea why this occurs and i have tried changing the parameters with no success, this is the best looking wave i managed to make.
i tried changing the sway from 0.1 to 1 which resulted in weak waves but still pulsating.
i tried to change the samples from 5 to 1 which resulted in this

(i am aware that there is better ways to do this and im planning to try and recreate this in houdini with water physics in the future, but now as i am so close to the finnish line with this project i would love to finnish it!)
anyone who knows how the flex modifier works and what could be causing this?

you might have to recache and resimulate the flex modifier to see the results.
thanks in advance for your help and have a great day!

I had previously missed to make every vertex weigh equally and it solved the issue for me. here is the result if you are curious - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/L2Kzev
