I want to make a correction to the Polycount rules for 'full time freelance forum'.

companies must provide REAL email links to REAL people NOT links to their website application.

It can be abused in favor of the company getting free traffic hits for their site at the expense of the people on polycount. 

Make Polycounter better not worse "Chadwick "

Can't comment on the PM stuff but posting insane stuff should not be a reason for a ban. At least this is polycount.. I mean.. half the people here would be banned.. and maybe even the better half..

Loony stuff has it's place. What I mean is just purely for entertainment, strictly *for grins" and the like, steering right away from malicious crap when on occasion a red mist would subsequently descend flinging things into an abyss of cud chewing. Now for the sake of full disclosure, I've typed I think a slice of dick-oriented-wankery during my time here although not intentionally malignant but more borne out of frustration than anything else.

After all, Polycount especially in recent years has I've noted, gained increased participatory traction across the board so such an active diverse community will invariably throw up a few 'square pegs'.

Anyways recollection as a lurker around the early 2000s is like "Chalk and Cheese" in comparison - oy vey...

We understand the gravity of a ban, and consider them carefully. Being outright aggressively abusive, three times in a row, that's when someone crosses the line. 

The ban is specifically for being abusive in private messages. The quoted post above is similar in flavor, just much milder.

It's ok to be angry at software, or a general state of things, and it's ok to occasionally be angry with one another. 

But when someone insists on abusing specific people directly and repeatedly, we don't stand for this. And we don't want that infecting the Polycount community at large.

I hope that makes sense. Please let us know if you have thoughts about this. Polycount is indeed all of us, together.

Yeah, totally out of this world for people to report abusive PM's for admins to review, never heard of such things. /s
