Hello!
Im doing a mounted character next, so Ive been doing some horse studies in preparation, just some quick form studies to get my head around the basic proportions, here is my latest:
I would love some feedback from any equine experts here
If anyone has any good resources for horse anatomy or good examples of horse sculpture that would be very helpful!
Cheers!

About proportions: horses can be of different breeds, therefore, proportions differ, it is up to you to choose the exact mount, from what I see on your sculpt:
scapula are not enough prominent
sternomandibularis muscle (front throat area) should not be bent inside, but outside, a little bit, like hanging if your throat would if you'd stretch your neck in front of you
back legs and torso gap is too prominent, like skin is vacuumed, skin should be tight, but naturally, little bit loose transition
back legs should be more powerful than front, now they are visually equal.
P.S. I have actually spent more than 700 hours on a human ecorche (anatomically correct musculoskeletal system, real-time) at this point, but don't want to publish a WIP, so it is up to you listen to me or not, man) Good luck.
