Hey All,
I was wondering if someone out there could help me out a bit with setting up 3DSmax to work with low res (pixel art) textures.
The issues that I'm having are:
1: Getting a grid set up in the Unwrap UVW to work off of a 32, 64,128 etc pixel grid size.
2: Viewport looks horrid. I can't see my textures correctly. I have a 1024x1024 texture sheet with pixel art regions of 32x32 pixels for the tile size. In the viewport there's barely any legibility.
For the project I'm on, I'm not working in HD at all, and it feels like Max is really not well suited for low res work

For my Unwrap UVW grid being set to 32 pixels, I did some artist math and divided the Checker Tiling (1.0) by 32, which gave me 0.03125 to enter for the grid size. Looking at the grid compared to my texture (as its broken up into 32's) it appears to have worked
