Maya Batch Rename Problem

Im having some trouble with the maya mass rename tool. I cant get a sequence, it jumps straight to 65.

Here's what im inputing in the tool

Someone told me that it may be related to the shape name but I have no idea how to batch rename those.

It's been a while since I've ran into this, but I think what I usually do is name them to something else, then back to how I want them named.

I've managed to make it work one time by showing the shapes in the outliner and then renaming them one by one and bach renaming the objects afterwards. Now I can't seem to make it work again.
