[WIP] My AR Journey

Hello all, for my next project I would like to tackle a custom version of an AR15. I have finished the block out, though I might add/replace some parts in the future.

Mini Update,

Good start, but your low poly is a bit too detailed. I think the small ridges are not visible at a normal distance so you might just do them just in the normal. Try to avoid small thin polys

looks good!

one thing tho, the curved backplate starts higher in the ref than on your model:

also, some edges are really sharp, might not read well in the normal...

those sharp edges of the insets will not read well in the normal map. actually all of your edges look a bit too sharp...
