Hey folks,
I have a really strange problem with maya here. I have been using maya for quite a while now and this never happened to me.
Some components of my model does not display the material correctly only in some faces. At the beginning I thought it had to do with the normal directions, but it is not that, all normals are facing the right direction and there's nothing wrong with the mesh actually. But during render time the weirdness comes.
I noticed that this has to do with the shells, somehow when I turn on distortion in the uv editor I can see some stuff I've never seen b4 (see image)
tha part of the mash is not distorted at all and it is not flipped in the opposite direction, it's a really easy geometry with nothing fancy, all the uv are done well so I don't understand how this can happen.
along the seam there is a kind of strange thing, I believe this is the issue but so far I couldnt find the solution
.
any kind of help would be much appreciated thanks!

Unfortunately is a work project I don't think I am allowed to share the model. Btw I approached the process as usual, I am did the texturing in substance, to render I use arnold. There are no verts overlapping, all seems to be in order except for the render that got really strange stuff going on. I think I can upload a piece of the model where I get this issue but I cannot from here, is there a way to upload an obj here?
Have a look man
the first image looks like you have bleeding caused by subdividing the mesh after you've textured it in substance designer.
