Heyo!
I'm starting this thread as kind of "dev diary" thing mostly to keep track of my work and seek out feedback - hopefully as I post more WIPS this will be helpful to some of the fellow artists here on polycount.
I'll be posting WIPs going forward and will try to throw in some experimental stuff that helped me reach certain milestones. I'll be focusing on characters for now and if you're curious, here is the result of the first complete test.

Updating this thread with some progress of my latest project. I'm making a Norse shield maiden which will have a similar material and texture treatment as the "Guard" character in this thread. I also plan to have this character as "playable" in unreal engine and able to explore the environment I intend to build.
Here is some of the early rough work trying to figure out some design elements, shapes, proportions etc.
Currently, here is some clean-up and sculpt of the models, some things changed slightly as I was moving along but for the most part I'm happy with the design of the coloured concept block-out from the image above.
These are the characters weapons and shield, modelled in Maya and still need to be finished in ZBrush.
Please feel free to ask questions as well as provide feedback.
