Hello ! It's been some time I've been looking at the amzing works done on this forum and decided to show some of my recent work, it was more an exercice for anatomy, clothes making, lowpoly budget character, and have a grasp to substance painter which I did use but not that much. In my work I decided to give a shot with giving my character a pose through a rigging process and make it a bit more alive! I wanted to exercice some face anatomy and while sculpting the whole character came out naturally, I wanted to create an old guy with a “hitman” mood and that was the magic word.
I wanted him to be a bit retro but still classy, with that cold stare and grin.

I would love to hear about what you guys have to say on my last personal work. Hope to have some critique that helps me to improve my way of doing my work. Thanks you all, see you soon for another sculpt !

Here are some pics from my zbrush work to start. I focused doing most of the work by hand, so no Marvelous was to be used in this project. I learned a lot in how folds are created and why.

I was happy about my higpoly so I jumped creating my lowpoly from scratch using maya’s retopology tools (sufficient for my needs). Though I went through creating the uvs and textures, rigged the character and weight painted the influences without showing the texture so that was a mistake I learned quite quickly (because of nasty texture deformations)

So finally I made it through all the processes of texturing and correcting my rig (this part is still kinda time consuming for me), weights and occasional blendshapes. All the fun was to come at the in finding some pose that would give life to the character rather than leaving it in an “A” pose. I hope having time to post more work over here ! See you soon !
