Working on an Ultralisk variant to pair with my
Protoss Immortal AND actually get a creature done for once in my bloody life.

Drafting a poster for the beauty shot.
There's a couple more details I want to fix.
Skinning is where I need it to be at for the pose.
Want to bring this into unreal to do animated vertices displacement on masked areas of the Ultralisk and gif the animation.

Pushing into the medium details.
Implementing some feedback from Mike Corriero.
Medium details feel locked in.
Moving onto micro details. Need to spread out the labia symbology.
Getting small details in. Also currently dirty retopologizing.
Texturing is coming along. Took a bit to find the right procedurals to get a good base for the black carapace layer. Going to go back to sculpt in more details for the scythes and horns.
I have concerns on what things I should be aware of on the last 10% of this, or details I'm not considering. If you have advice, I'd be glad to hear them.
At this point, it's texturing in tiny noise details, depressions, cracks, and making sure there's variance in the roughness and skin texture. Face could use a little more love before I'm exhausted with it. Did my best to make sure details are laid in with purpose and direction, with consideration about what would receive more wear vs other areas.
Anyone have any critiques on how to get this further? I'm think I should add some stray hairs on some fleshy contrast areas and the face via just polygonal strips.
Tried to implement the following criticisms:
- Added more soft color transition zones
- Lightened areas of thinner skin or bony landmarks
- increased albedo and roughness contrast between skin, carapace, and bone.
- Adjust wear and tear of bone areas depending on how often they'd be making contact.
Need one more overall postprocessing pass and an environmental dirt pass I think.What does 'internal vs external tissue" mean to you guys, because that was mentioned to me,but googling isn't really bringing up a specific explanation.
