RAWMEN (ANIMAL) is looking for a dedicated experienced environmental artist with a deep understanding of stylized workflows to join our small indie team.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating fun, wacky, stylized environments
- Translate concept and reference art into reality, referencing design and core gameplay mechanics
- Collaborate with the Art team and come up with solutions to creative challenges
- Create stylized environment assets like building and structures, modular architectural kits, props, etc.
- Help guide and lead with new prototyping techniques and processes
- Mentor those junior, provide feedback, and lead by example
Requirements
- 4+ years of game development experience
- Solid understanding of 3D modeling programs, Photoshop, Substance etc
- Good sense of humor is a must
- An avid willingness to adapt work as design iterates or evolves
- Deep understanding of asset optimization techniques
- Great sense of proportion and scale
- Dedicated to the project and can stay focused/take part in team meetings
- Self starter and great time management
- Understanding of PBR materials
- Good communication skills and works well with others
