I'm in need of a detailed way of exporting my opacity map on my character, none of the pages I've found have a clear-cut way of explaining this.
I'm using PBR Metal Rough default export settings and am exporting to Marmoset toolbag for rendering.

Should I be exporting a certain file type? I usually use PNG for most of my textures.  Which of the output maps do I use; Gray, RGB, R+G+B, RGB + A or R+G+B+A?  Where specifically do I drag the opacity map and what other options should I tick?

You need an opacity channel with information in it and it needs to be plugged into an output map in your export preset.

I don't use the default export presets but I imagine one of them supports it.

Png is the sensible option for output
