Tried modeling my room with a night time aesthetic. But I feel like this is missing something and I am not quite sure what. This is my first time modeling something that isn't a tutorial. I am a complete beginner. Also, is something like this worth posting on Artstation even though it is like my first render ever and not that great? Or should I only put up "good" work on there?
One thing that might help it "pop" would be to add some off-screen lights coming from the left and right sides. Maybe there's an "open door" on one of the near culled walls, with warm light streaming in. Or maybe another window.

Thank you! Warm light streaming in definitely sounds very cool. I will add that as soon as I get home. But regarding off screen lights, wouldnt the image lose the "Night time aesthetic" if I add more light? As in I thought having the monitor as the only source of light would give it a "Night" mood. Having more lights would be against that? Let me know if I got it all wrong.
As for when your art is good enough to post on ArtStation or anywhere else, go ahead and post it. Because if you wait until you're "good," you'll never post anything, because it can always be better. The one thing to keep in mind is that as your skills improve over time, it's a good idea to go back and delete your older artwork, to keep your portfolio representative of your current abilities.

Thanks.
You're right. I should just post it. I don't plan to go professional any soon anyway.
So, I added some moonlight and some warm light coming from a hallway or an external source. To compensate for that extra light, I reduced the existing lights a bit. And changed the positions of the object as the monitor was too bright for moonlight to look believable.
Does it look better? Dull? Critique/feedback please?

Look to movie lighting for inspiration. Go to screen grab websites like Evan Richards blog Cinematography Frame Grabs
