WIP, Futuristic trashcan, looking for technical imput

Im modeling after thispiece of concept art

At certain locations, I get these lines (unreal, marmoset, ubstance...)

This is the low poly, so my best educated guess is that this is the issue, but I dont know why. Its quaded, the highpoly is clean, all facing out correctly and I simply dont understand it.

Any info on this would be aprechieated=)

    My first guess is that the smoothing groups are the source of the problem. It's trying to smooth the long narrow quads with the square quads on the bevel. Have you tried setting the flat surface and the bevel to separate smoothing groups before baking to see if this helps?

    If it does, you might still get an artefact along the bevel so it's not a solution. In this case, you could try face weighted normals... or maybe add a loop parallel to the bevel before baking and remove it afterwards, keeping the UVs intact.
