Career shifting to VFX

I've been working as a drilling engineer since years long, and I've been always fascinated by CGI. I have basic drawing  skills and familiar with some digital art tools. I was searching for an online school to get a step into the industry while keeping my current job for a while and when I'm ready to leave I'll move after to an actual school and get an intensive course for the field I would like to specialise in. I think about the CGI foundation online course taught by Think thank, would it help? Any others ? Any actual school suggestions, preferably in Europe?
These fields attract me most and I don't know yet which one I'll pursue after:
-Environment modeling
-Houdini FX
-Nuke composting

Any advise is appreciated

Im not sure if you know what you are trying to do.
Its not an easy task to learn VFX. You need years of passionated learning to get up to a decent level.

Im not saying its not possible. But its hard work for years.
Do you have anything to show.?

    Hello Oglu,
Thanks for your response. I'm 33 years old and I have zero experience in art field, just basic skills to start though. I know it's not easy, my education and my current job was too at the beginning several years ago, but I'll dedecate time and effort to learn. I was searching for an online school and came across Think tank's CGI foundation course, don't know if it's the one for me!

I would start with basic tutorials from the internet in the first year. Until you know exactly where to go and what you like to learn. Start witn a beginner tutorial for Blender to get the basic understanding.
