How to connect 2nd monitor with vga cord to pc??

My PC recently took a visit to the Dr. for a new power parts, now I cannot get the second monitor to connect again. 
I've tried different cords, and have tested the monitor with the graphics card and the screen works. I've updated the driver software, and the  windows+p but no dice.  
Both monitors are BenQ

Need more info. What graphics card do you have, with what ports on it? What OS? Latest graphics driver? Restarted your pc? What app are you using to connect the two monitors? Exact step-by-step would help.

Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, with HDMI Output, and DVI  (not used before) and have updated the graphics drive
 OS build 18362.418
I didnt use an app, just windows 10?

I remember having  to go into BIOS settings to set it up with a VGA cord when i first got it. Maybe since the mother boards been fixed i would have to reset it again?

VGA is not DVI, nor HDMI. Pics would help.

managed to get it to work through the bios thanks for the help
