[Rev Share] Looking for 3D Modeler, Concept Artist, and Texture/Material Artist

Hello! I'm with a group called Captilight and we are currently seeking an experienced 3D Modeler, Concept Artist, and Texture/Material Artist to work on our upcoming rev share project, codenamed, "Gates." We are currently using Unreal and finishing up a prototype. Our goal is to get a demo to show off to get the team funding for further development.

A little about Gates:

"Gates" for short, is a 3D, atmospheric adventure game following a young wolf and wisp in their quest to travel to the spirit world. The game focuses on an overarching theme, “reincarnation.” Gates goes into depth

about the acceptance of death, that life isn’t forever, and to treasure the meaningful connections with those you’ve encountered in life. Players explore various lands in the mortal and spirit world while gathering life energy to stay

alive and solving puzzles to access new areas. With chase sequences, simple puzzles, and an emotional narrative story, players can enjoy a game that is heartwarming and thought-provoking.

3D Modeler Qualifications

  •  Knowledge of stylized low poly 3D modeling
  •  Excellent understanding of UV layout techniques
  •  Proven ability in Modeling demonstrated through portfolio / demo reel
  • PLUS: Rigging or animation experience or able to create creatures

Concept Artist Qualifications

  •  Works closely with the game designer and the art director; participates in the creative process of the menus and in-game interface elements
  •  Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Proven ability in Concept Art demonstrated through portfolio / demo reel

Texture/Material Artist Qualifications
  • Knowledge of photoshop and substance designer to create textures and materials
  • Proven ability in texturing and creating materials demonstrated through portfolio / demo reel
  • PLUS: Knowledge of 3D Coat

For All Positions:

  • Ability to take instruction, but also work independently when needed
  • Excellent communication skills, enjoys working on a team and teaching others
  • Can dedicate minimum of 5 hours a week, more the merrier! Our goal is to get our demo done by March to show off at GDC.
