I have read a lot about maya and UV, but I still have some confusion on uving multiple objects in maya.
I am creating a scene to create a short cinematic video in unreal engine and colouring the model in substance painter, but I am still confused with uving my model.
This is some of the problems I have with uving this model:
Should I use udims for this scene?
- I have read that you should use udims when you have a lot of objects that need a lot of detail, but I have also heard you should keep it all in the 0-1 box.
How do I uv multiple objects in one model?
-I have multiple objects in this scene/model, but I am unsure if I am supposed to group them all together in the uv editor and fit them all in the 0-1 box or use udims for all of them.
What is the best way to uv multiple objects in maya to create the best resolution/quality for baking and painting in substance painter?
-I am sorry if this forum already has some of these questions answered, but I have read a lot and have kind of got more confused in diving deeper into uving.
I really do appreciate any help with this as I am still a beginner in this.
