We’re looking for a remote Concept Artist to create mock-ups and detailed pieces for an upcoming VR training and educational project.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with the creative director & content experts to create:
- Rough mock-ups along with detailed concept art for environments, set-pieces & characters.
- Storyboards and beat-maps to help the team visualize and understand how scenes play out & what information needs to be communicated.
- Creating concepts for UI elements, branding, etc.
- Giving input & critique of the project.
What we are looking for from the ideal candidate:
- A broad range of traditional art skills (drawing, painting, sketching, perspective, composition & lighting)
- Comfortable and competent in rapid iteration; able to work alongside a group of people, taking their input and translating it on-the-fly into rough mock-ups and visualizations, to help the team understand and align on what they are discussing.
- A solid grasp of core tools & software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, etc.
- Experience in the games industry (development methodology & pipelines, storyboarding)
- Able to create concept art with a realistic style.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- A high degree of self-motivation and discipline
- Available for communication via chat and video calls
- Self-organize, estimate and update tasks in our planning solution
- 30+ hours availability per week
