I am making a sci-fi weapon for my portfolio. I chose this concept, created by Anton Khondoker, because I wanted to showcase hard-surface modeling with some interesting shapes and learn a new work flow of using Zbrush live boolean tool.
Cool weapon! It will be awesome if could be modded on Fallout 4 hahaha
Are you really making this all on zbrush? Man, I always find it hardsurface a pain to make on zbrush, if you could share a bit of your workflow would be great.
No just using the Liveboolean tool from zbrush to get the mechanical parts fitting, the base model of it was made in 3DS Max. Lol and it would be a pretty cool mod for Fallout 4.
More modeling updates, I have looked harder at the concepts and noticed that I was missing some rather large pieces to the weapon... I completely overlooked the ammo counter at the top of the rear-body and some rather bothersome geometry along with it.
I used more boolean tricks with zbrush, however I am getting some very soft faceting that can be viewed on from the profile of the weapon. I'll most likely have to go and clean up some geo. And yes, I know I still need to go and model out the trigger still.

I am slowly working my way from front to back to add details (screws, divots, bevels, etc.)
