Is there anyway of doing this without replacing the complete animation scene?
I want just a single max/fbx scene with all the animations, but the motion capture is in BIP files and I can't figure out how to merge the lot!
Thanks

Motion Mixer dies this IIRC. Been a long time since I've used Biped, but there are a bunch of (half assed) tools there for mixing anims.

You can use the Copy and Paste Time from the Dope Sheet. But the Motion Mixer, like Eric mentioned, will be better if you have many animations.

Yes, figured out the 'Mixer' route.
It's very simple, a 30 second routine that does it pretty flawlessly.
