Gsync with 3DS Max/Toolbag causing stuttering??

Hey guys, I have a Gigabyte 2070 with an Acer Predator XB271HU monitor and noticed if I run Gsync and use either 3DS or Marmoset Toolbag the refresh counter drops dramatically even when simply navigating through the menus. It also happens with other software too. I did read that this is because some programs may use a Chromium(??) based GUI that doesn't play well with G-Sync? Anyone else have this issue? Would be great if EARTHQUAKE could chime in in regards to Toolbag and Gsync.
