AO and Curvature from lowpoly with normal map?

Context : I'm trying to improve a Substance Painter workflow. Adding additional height / normal details, exporting the new map then rebaking curvature and AO. The trouble is I don't rate the bakers in Painter very highly compared to Marmoset, especially the curvature baker.

I tried baking my lowpoly to itself with the updated normal map applied to the "high" mesh, but no dice. Curvature was just noise. Tried with both tangent space and world space normals. Am I doing something wrong? If not, any chance this might be a thing in the future? I believe Knald can already do this.
