I have been struggling to find out what I should do for my next project to be able to get a 3D Environment job in Europe. I currently have two ideas.
Idea nr.1 To make a modular tram with trim sheets in Maya and Substance or Quxel, render in Marmoset or Unreal.
The reason for idea nr.1 trim sheets are used a lot in the industry and I would go out of my comfort zone,
however, still using mostly the tools that I am comfortable with.
This idea is just to aim at any studio that I can find with an open position.
Art style: Realistic.
Idea nr.2: To make a bedroom and use 3dsmax, Zbrush, Marvellous Designer, Substance Painter, rendered in Unreal4.
The reason for this idea would be to try to get a job at Ubisoft studios in Europe.
In this case, I would go for similar graphic like in Division and/or Rainbow six Siege and would try to add some kinda visual storytelling in the room.
Looking forward to hearing what you guys think about this.
