hey guys,
can anybody suggest some not overly expensive mocap solution (Body +
Facial expressions) to use in gamedev? By affordable I mean some
reasonable amount starting from 2K$ to 6K$ probably. Some not so
expensive simple AI based solutions may be. So if there are any good
working solutions you heard about, or witnessed in your studio may be
and which you could recommend - please let me know and get +1000 to your

It's a little higher than your price range but it's sooo good, soo clean, so easy to work with. I love that it isn't bound to an optical system and works off of inertial sensors, so it isn't software trying to figure out what is going on through a camera it's positional data piped onto a rig. It requires very little clean up.
Plus you aren't boxed into a confined area, as long as the suit is within WiFi range you're good to go.

It isn't mocap but more like animation made easier. The trial was pretty impressive but they aren't quite to a release candidate yet I think? Still worth keeping an eye on. But it could get a decent animator almost as fast as mocap...
