Hey everyone. I've been pushing to get results out of substance that are as close to what I would get manually sculpting as possible.
I'm putting together a few packages of custom nodes that I use to do individual effects. The idea is to have a simple, one-stop (or node), tool for getting "stylized", sculptural results out of designer.
The nodes will fall under a "general use" group that will apply to whichever type of material your building (i.e cracking, pitting etc) The rest will be specific to certain material types (i.e wood grain, stone surface)
The first pack I will be releasing is the stone set, ideal for stone tiles/walls/surfaces, as well as the first round of general tools.
I'm going to be using this as a WIP and feedback thread in order to make these tools as robust as I can.

Finally the Crack'R which puts these cracks on it. One thing I notice with these cracks in substance is people don't have them taper open where they meet the grout of the tiles. The Crack'R has controls for the width of the taper, length of the taper, per-tile variations of both of these and alot more. You should be able to get basically any kind of cracking you would like out of it. I'll be posting a test sheet of different cracks sometime soon.
@gazman162 Yeah for sure My plan was to have them be very red from the GI, but ended with mixed results for sure.
@armagon I'll have them available on my artstation/gumroad once I'm all set!
