SMASHOUT: ARENA

Hi guys, I am Wilhem Durand, I'm a junior 3D animator.
This is my final school project, at New3dge (Paris).

I was in charge of the whole animation process : Skinning/Rigging, Characters animation, Character Integration in Unreal Engine and Camera animations. Had so much fun and learned alot on this one, since it was my first project as an animator.
All animations are keyframes.

SmashOut: Arena is a 3v3 ThirdPerson Sport/CaptureTheFlag type of Game
The point was to create a fake game, given that we had no devs in our team, making gameplay was not essential for us,
instead we made a in-game trailer, you can check it:

I must say, I got a bit disappointed with the trailer being a little too slow to the fast paced bg music and speed of the 'game', imo, but the presentation here and animations got me very excited about this project, good job, good luck!

Awesome project, design and style. Congratulations!
About the animations, I think it could benefit from more in-betweens on the ending transitions. It's noticiable that the characters stop moving abruptly when their name card appears (guess smash bros and ARMS were a valid reference)

Hello Wilhem, I'm impressed with your project. My name is Kevin, I'm wondering if you would be interested in being apart of another project. I have a character called ZooBear, which is popular among teens in the Urban Community. Please let me know if you'd like to help bring this character to life. You can reach me at zoobearnyc@gmail.com. Thx.
