Marmoset displacement: Roof Tiles

What kind of shape would Daniel Thiger be using here to create the Ridge caps to the roof? Would it just be a flat plane using the displacement in Marmoset to sort out the curved shape? then manually adjusting the Z position of the plane to fit with the rest of tiles? Its the last piece of the puzzle I need to sort out in my head.. Thanks in advance!

In the last image there it looks like a half cylinder. You could probably do it either way though.
