Opening .DXF files in Maya?

Hi,

I need to open some CAD files  (.DXF) in Maya. I have been reading that this functionality is built in and provided through "ATFPlugin.mll" in the Plugin Manager. 

I have ATFPlugin.mll enabled. When I import a .DXF Maya waits for a minute and looks like it's importing but then nothing happens, no items are even visible in outliner. 

Importing 2D .DWG files works fine, so I'm a little confused.

I had that at work, we did some looking around and there is a forum post somewhere on the Autodesk forums. The issue has been there since like 2016 and no, they haven't fixed it

Ha sounds right. I ended up writing a blender script to batch convert them all to obj, since Blender was having no trouble with them. Ironic.
