After I used boolean plugin 'bool' form mainframe, I am start adding a bit of tools on top of it to speed up boolean work flow in maya. still need lots of work. anyone useing boolean work flow in maya?
It still need bit more work, many bugs need to fix, I would like to add symmetry function and better way to edge bevel output mesh. but I can start to feel fun using boolean operation to design inside maya.
Currently, I'm using DCbool Manager script\plugin, but yours look a way better! Keep it up What about performance tho? Did it cost extra fps to bool simple objects?
maya boolean can became very slow after about 10 operations, the way for me to keep run faster is I 'bake' all the cut block into a group, and use result mesh as new mesh and continue with new boolean. and if I need to remove or modify any previous cut block, I have a button to restore everything, of cause it will slow down everything again, then I just 'bake' it again. https://youtu.be/jDNFWzjPINE
