I Currently working on MK18 i like the one which used byGarand Thumb in this video first i create the low poly model then move to high poly and last Uv Map In the end it should looks like this
Are you thinking doing good old sub-d for everything, or do you have some other types of workflow to take this to high-res?
Here is a Test making the grip was a little challenging for the details i created it using zbrush just to see how it looks i prefer add it later using Substance Painter this is not final model btw.
