The Hangman character was inspired by Battle Chasers: Nightwar game. It was one of the best character in game so I decided to create it. Hope you will like it.
Man, this looks amazing! I would be grateful if you could tell me something about your texturing workflow because it is something I'm not good at and I think that I could learn a lot from you. Thanks in advance!
universe > In first I baked in Marmoset Toolbag from high poly to lowpoly textures like Normal, Curvature, Ambient Occlusion and Normal (object). What was very important from my point of view is that i needed colorize ao map. From Normal (object) i used just green channel - it's very similar as skylight texture so it set you correct light and shadow. And than it's just combination of all texture in phoroshop with hand painted parts. Hope it helped you Cheers
When I saw the thumbnail I thought "Ey this looks similar to this guy who was on the graveyard at Battlechasers". So you made a really nice job, love the way you made it!
Can you be kind enough to explain the process? Do you start with the basemesh in a modeling tool then move on to Zbrush? Or do you just start straight from it? I am just starting out in Zbrush.
Usually i start with sphere in zbrush. I create something like sketch sculpt with correct shapes, silhouettes. After that i retopologize my sketch model in 3dsmax /because clean surface of model/ and than i add details in zbrush. When is highpoly model done i start with lowpoly retopo, uv's, smoothgroups and bake of textures.
This is freaking awesome, great job! I love the stylization of the wrinkles, and the fat on the back, the textures are great and that axe is looking painful to get hit by. xD
