Based on concepts by Alexandr Pascenko. I mix and matched a couple of his concepts into a character I wanted to create.
I dont make male characters often but I wanted my next low-poly character to be male, and Alex's concepts are pretty awesome!
This is where I'm at with the High poly so far, a couple days work , mainly Zbrush and abit of 3DS Max. The original concepts probably has a few too many pouches so I may remove a few. Might need to make him abit taller but not sure yet, I want to keep him big and buff for the most part.
The goal for this project is to make a low poly character, maybe semi-realistic and about 30-40k tris.
Any critiques so far is welcome!

Probably have to start thinking about what colours I want oh him too, during texturing.
Finally got the retopo done! there was so many pieces i kinda wished i picked something abit easier haha.
Model is just under 34k tris, my aim was 30-40k tris initially, but i want to maybe try get him down to 30k flat. Still alot of unnecessary edgeloops and hidden faces i could delete to optimise him, but i will worry about that later and focus on the unwrapping soon.
I will see if I can make two textures maps for him, one for the face and one for the body. I hope I can fit all the pieces into the UV space but if I can't, then might make two smaller resolution texture sheets for the body+accessories.
Got the UVs unwrap done over this weekend and just did some test bakes for the normal map.
Did a first pass for the textures of this character. Almost done
Calling this guy done.
Had some intersecting i didn't notice in the render until it was too late, but might fix it later.
Had fun making him overall and another good learning experience.
