Painter Tool Brush bug

Hi people.

I found a tool related bug in painter.
- Basically I create a material in substance designer
- Once imported in painter I convert the material to a tool by selecting a brush and then the material, so I can paint the material
- I assign a mask channel inside the tool (see the image) to assign a mask that can change dynamically with the tool settings.

As you can see in the attached image, the mask works properly with all the channels, but the normal map (even if it can clearly see in the brush before painting)

Thank you

That's a current limitation of the normal map painting. I'd recommend using the height channel instead.

what if the layer I'm painting on is normal only? Height does not override the normal channel.

the problem actually is only with tools, infact in the substance painter "hardsurface" folder there are a lot of normal with alpha that is totally fine to paint.

I think this is a huge limitation
