Whoa those are some crazy shoes! Posing and balancing her with those on might be a challenge. I assume it's based off of the Japanese wooden sandles. Is there a reason for her shoes to only have one stub?
Yes, those are inspired from geta, but I agree it's definitely not practical ^^'. I have tried other shapes (they are only blockouts for now) but I don't know, maybe another one of those shapes is better ?
If you want to stick with just having one stub you can go with something similar the one on the far right. You can drill a hole through it if you want to keep that too. Now if you want to switch to having two studs while keeping the hole I think the one next to the far right is a pretty good.
I think these sandles much more practical and gives you a little more wiggle room for different types of poses. The masking has a really good start. I think you just need to clean up the shapes a bit. For the fangs of the mask you can the shape so that it has a nice curve. I did a draw over since I'm not the best at explaining things.
I just had the time to add some small details for today, so I started to work on the hat. So far I have found three interesting shapes but I don't know which one is the best. I will work on the ties when I am sure of the shape I will choose. For the moment I think that the first one is the most adequate.
Here are some progresses on the character. I decided to change the weapon's design since it looked more like a ceremonial weapon and I wanted to make a practical weapon.
A quick update with the blockout of the textures on my character, the weapon is on its way too and the baking for the normals and the AO is finally finished
Well, I was asking myself the same question, but on the reference I use for the pants there is nothing more so I will do some variations and later choose the best.
