Normal Map Changing Look -Maya- Cinema 4d.

Heya all been trying to get some help with baking too no avail iv fixed alot of the issues myself, but something constantly persists which i knew would come up sooner or later. its... this?? (Ignore the top in the second pic that was changed so it no longer had a shader)

When i re apply the map as one image it does, this? it looks fine in the image below were everything was baked bit by bit, all i have done is take them perfect individual bakes and put them into one file. Really dont know what is going to wrong. As i said in the title i tested this in multiple programs the same issue persists.

    Could be one of two things:

    Maya is changing the color space of the normal map texture when applying. (Change color setting on the file node to Raw to fix)

    The program you are viewing your model in has a different Y direction than the baker. (Usually fixed by inverting green channel in texture)

    I went into photoshop and fixed the green channel seemed to stop it looking really broken, still looks very weird though. I also baked in Maya, bits of it look fantastic on the bit by bit but when compiled into one map it comes out horrible, even on sketchfab some schemes that are not there in maya just blow up. Trying to test the waters with different programs atm, so i can figure out the issue before finding a place to try and texture him.

    this looks more like the normalmap is applied as a bumpmap
