Maya - substance workflow - Cage braking/working weird

So the advice i got about a cage worked amazingly on the area intended, but it broke the rest of my mesh so i went and modeled a cage for the rest of the mesh which in some areas worked but alot of others just outright broke things. Im not sure on a good workflow yet an how to go about figuring out fixes for these issues.

I thought of splitting the hair into another file but then id have no clue how to put them back into one UV map.. an gosh this learning curve is brutal haha. Due too there being layers of clothing it seems no matter what i do the baking messes up somehow.
