cant see subtools in Zbrush

Hello new to Zbrush. I have lost visibility to my sub tools in the canvas but on the sub tool list some have the eyeball on so the should be visible.

Also the spheres you see onscreen do not rotate as I rotate the camera view they stay 2D

    You cant move the eye subtool because you probably accidentally dropped it to the canvas. Hit Cntrl N to clear the canvas. Select your main subtool (the figure) then click and drag it out, then release the click and hit the edit button. If you double click you will drop the tool. If your main figure is not visible then maybe you moved it behind the canvas. Google on how to move the subtool back to the front.

    This has only happened to me once in 16 years of zBrushing so I dont remember exactly how to move the model forward. Because zBrush is a 2.5D app the background is a solid sheet, not space. While navigating around in zBrush you are actually moving and scaling the subtool. The camera is fixed.
