Hi!
I have recently signed up for the 30 days free trial of Quixel Mixer and its awesome and very easy to use.
I have created some materials in the Mixer by blending together a bunch of surfaces and
it looks very nice.
But there are some issues when I send it to 3ds max.
In the Quixel Mixer Export section I click on the export button and six maps are created
and placed in a folder. I export my mixed surface from Mixer to Bridge Library.
I don't have the scripts menu in Bridge (send to vray, send to corona etc.) and I believe
that's because I'm using a newer version of Quixel Mixer (Quixel Mixer 2019) so
I'm using the MSLiveLink plugin (and Corona as renderer). I choose my created mixed surface in Quixel Bridge and click export. Then I open 3ds max and assign the material to a Plane.
But when I render it the surface/texture looks very flat and far away from the surface I
created in the Mixer. As far as I understand you should not need to setup your materials in
3ds max when you have exported the material from Bridge. But obviously I've missed something
but could not figure out what. Maybe it's because I only use the free 30 days trial?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
