Nanomesh: Coin Pile but mesh inter-penetrate one another

Hi~ I'm trying to learn how to use Nanomesh in ZBrush. I came across some problem but i couldn't any answer from googling it.

Umm, I'm trying to make a pile of coins. But when i use nanomesh, and scattering them (to randomize), the mesh inter-penetrate one another. I'm thinking if I just use 1 type of coin, its already having issue. If i have more than 1 set of coins, the inter-penetrating stuffs will be crazy. Is there something I'm missing? Or it's not possible of using nanomesh this way?

Because I found a quick tip image from an artist in Artstation. So I'm thinking it is possible. Could anyone show me the light to the greatness of nanomesh? :D
Super thanks in advance!

You can do it with layers of not too densely scattered coins each new layer have a bit of Z offset.    But with all honesty Zbrush  have probably most painful and crazy inconvenient way to scatter things. I would do it elsewhere with actual physics calculation.
There is a plugin for MAx to do it easily without messing with particle flow and Asset sketcher for Blender  with "physics" button which  redistributes things to be non intersecting.  For not too insane amount of objects at least
