Marvelous Designer curved curtain help

Hi All,


I have a question regarding this curtain in Marvellous Designer. 



I initially tried simulating over an arched mesh but that just failed horribly and crashed my PC. My second attempt was creating a arch shape using the ellipse tool  and then cutting out using the dart tool to create that sort of shape but that was just as bad as it look as it was just not looking correctly.

This is the best I could get it but I am not sure if that is the best way to do it. I am not fan of the sash at the top but through trial and error this is where I got to.

Hey, it's called class, hahaha.
 
I've made some upgrades and I think it looks better now.

I think increase the resolution a bit and play with the weft/warp to get more vertical folds (though maybe if you had as many as reference baking would be a nightmare). Seems the reference is bunched up tighter and smaller at the end, gives a more dramatic shape. You could insert a few pins and lift up the bottom a scooch to help with that.

I usually just do a few manual pinches and freeze the simulation till it's getting too straight and boring
