Help NineZyme rig and animate our main protagonist character for an upcoming game title.
Detailed Description:
We have one character ready to rig and do some animation trials. We are looking for someone who can do an advanced animation rig, with a special emphasis on facial expressions and speech. The rig should be entirely bone based (no blend shapes) and kept within reasonable technical constraints for a realtime 3D title (ie. as few bones as possible to achieve the desired quality level - and minimal weights per vertex).
The character will be wearing standard clothing for the time period - nothing out of the ordinary - and the art style is more akin to Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks.
After rigging, we would like a few sample animations to experiment with. A sample of syncing to some dialog, several facial expressions, some basic idles, and some static poses for promotional purposes.
Experience using
Blender would be preferable - but if you work better in another application, that is ok too. So please mention which software you use for your work. Also, you
must include relevant samples of your work (including a solid human face rig)!!
Workload / Payment: €500 weekly (full-time)
The timeframe for this project is mostly up to you. Full-time or part-time
involvement is acceptable (payment will be adjusted according to how much time you can dedicate per week). We will start with a 2 week contract and see what kind of progress can be made.
If the job and working relationship goes well, we will definitely have more work for you in the future as our other characters are completed!

We are also looking for a great environment artist! If you also have skills in this dedication, please let me know... and perhaps we can put you on a more involved part of the project. Include samples of your work, if that's the case.
Fine Print:
- Only individual contributors will be considered for this role - no development 'chop shops' please
- Must have a minimum of business-level English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Your internet connection must be suitable for an occasional video chat
- All pieces created will be fully owned by NineZyme and may not be used in other projects without express written consent (you may, however, immediately use all work in your portfolio - regardless of the status of the project)
